Our Global All-Cap Equity strategy is bottom-up in focus, relying upon our in-house fundamental research. By investing in profitable and durable businesses that create and compound value for shareholders, we balance our clients' need for capital preservation with superior long-term absolute returns. We believe businesses with the greatest opportunities for value creation exhibit strong free cash flow growth, consistent and high returns on tangible assets, sustainable and growing competitive advantages, shareholder-minded management teams, and favorable industry dynamics. At YCG we customize the portfolios that suit the needs of our clients based on risk tolerance, diversification needs, and the tax status of every account. We offer three types of strategies that vary in concentration:
- Ultra-concentrated (5-15 Holdings)
- Concentrated (15-30 holdings)
- Diversified (30-60 holdings)
In addition to concentration, we offer our clients the ability to enhance returns by implementing two possible sub-components:
Option enhancement utilizes options to generate additional income and strategically establish and sell out of positions effectively via options. Hedging provides an opportunity to further enhance returns through active shorting and thus providing additional purchasing power on the long side.
